Example

Suppose we have three groups, A, B, and C, and we want to compare the means of a specific variable. We calculate the sum of squares for each group and obtain the between-group and within-group variances.

Let’s say the between-group variance is 50 and the within-group variance is 25.

Calculating the F ratio: F = 50 / 25 = 2
